Big Bearded Update #120
Been doing quite a bit of cooking over the last couple of weeks, filling up the freezer and trying to get back to a healthier eating schedule, but always risotto.
What I've been up to these past two weeks
Well I've read the shortlist for the Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize and I think I may be in a bit of a reading funk but the only one I truly enjoyed was 'The Ministry of Time' which for me was head and shoulders above the others in the shortlist.
I'm not sure if it's me or were they truly plodding books, I consider it may be me as all I've been reading recently have been SFF with a romantasy leaning. Then I remember I've read some really good translated literary fiction recently so they may just have been quite pedestrian and because of that there was only the one review to write.
I've also updated the post for Solo Gaming and added a post to list Solo RPGs in a similar way. I'll be using these lists to generate some blog posts and to record my own collections of both.
But in general it has been work and sleep, long commutes, and reading the debut short list.

What's happening in the next two weeks
One of the main things I want to get done this fortnight is to start listing my old Warhammer, Malifaux, D&D 5E, and other wargaming bits onto my Ko-Fi shop to try and release some funds for more board games.
I'm still in the process of making a master list to work from collating all the bookmarks on various social media and on the browser and will be adding bookshops and publishers to the various lists on the blog.
Also have got to try to catch up my reading for 20 Books of Summer which will also help me catch up with my ARC reading and keep me ahead of release dates for these books.
Supporting this project
One of the main way of supporting me in these projects is to follow me on one of my social media accounts and like/boost as this means people are seeing what I'm putting out there.
If you want you can always subscribe or donate on my Ko-Fi to help me pay for tattoos, books, and coffee (the essentials!) or subscribe to my Substack.
To see what I'm up to and for links to social media pop across to www.bigbeardedbookseller.com, but I can generally be found occasionally on Twitter and usually on Instagram, though I am feeling a bit tired of social media at the moment.
